The son of WWE Hall of Famer, "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes, Cody Rhodes has quite the legacy to carry on. This young Superstar, however, is not content with simply carrying a name. He is looking to make one for himself. Debuting in 2007, he began to do just that winning the World Tag Team Championship with Hardcore Holly after only a few short months in the company. Along with his new found mentor, he would proudly hold the gold for months until turning on his partner in June 2008. Now aligned with fellow up-and-comer Ted DiBiase, he continued to hold the World Tag Team Championships until the end of 2008. 2009 saw Cody and Ted being taken under the wing of Randy Orton. Together, they were The Legacy: A trio of multi-generation Superstars looking to prove that their pedigree meant they were better than everyone else. On many occasions, Rhodes, along with Dibiase, would assist Orton in his quest for the WWE Championship. This alliance, however, seemed to only help Orton more than it did for Rhodes and DiBiase. In 2010, the group imploded and the trio met in a Triple Threat match at WrestleMania XXVI. Orton prevailed, and now "The Uncommon Son of a Common Man" looks to make his own legacy on the SmackDown brand after the 2010 Draft. He made a good start, defeating Raw-bound John Morrison in his SmackDown debut.
