From underneath the WWE ring, Hornswoggle has been constantly emerging to cause trouble for everyone in WWE since 2006. At first, he was seen as merely a pint-sized version of Finlay, bringing chaos and trouble for any of the Fighting Irishman's opponents. At the 2007 Great American Bash event, Hornswoggle won his own championship gold in the form of Chavo Guerrero's Cruiserweight Championship, becoming the target and the annoyance of the "Mexican Warrior" for many weeks before the title was deactivated. It was revealed in 2008 that 'Swoggle was the son of Finlay, and since then, the duo continued to wreak havoc inside and outside the ring together on SmackDown. In mid-2008, the duo was drafted to ECW and even competed together for the WWE Tag Team Championship on multiple occasions. When Finlay was drafted away from his son, Hornswoggle struck out on his own. He would team with many Superstars, most notably Goldust. Throughout 2009, Hornswoggle would cause trouble for none other than former rival Chavo Guerrero, embarrassing Guerrero week in and week out for the better half of the year. At the end of 2009, Hornswoggle realized a lifelong dream when he became the mascot for DeGeneration X. During his time as their mascot, Hornswoggle, along with new buddy Triple H, would cause trouble together at the expense of others. This continued until the leprechaun was sent home by an irate Shawn Michaels. While he has recently spent his days staying under the ring, who knows when he will appear next? Whenever it happens, keep in mind he is back on the SmackDown roster, and he may be beside his fighting father Finlay once more.
