The fighting Irishman Finlay has had a storied career spanning across from the United Kingdom to the United States. After a legendary career in the UK with almost 20 championships under his belt, The Belfast Bruiser came into WCW in the late 1995 and brought his hardcore smashmouth fighting style to the States. During his five year run, he almost lost the use of one of his legs after being put through a table by Nasty Boy Brian Knobbs.
In 2006, he made his in ring return, debuting in the WWE, and defeating Matt Hardy. Since then, he has won the United States Championship, and competed in great matches at WrestleMania on more than one occasion. In 2008, he teamed with his son, Hornswoggle, to try to win the WWE Tag team Championship. Although they weren't successful, they had a memorable run as a tag team on ECW. Going into 2010, Finlay and his son are both back on SmackDown, but Finlay is considering ending his in ring career in the same brand where he debuted in WWE, opting instead to work as a road agent, assisting young SmackDown talent backstage. Will we see Finlay and Hornswoggle reunite in the ring one last time? Only time will tell.
