A worldwide reporter before entering WWE, Michael Cole is experienced on the microphone. It is only fitting that he commentates weekly in WWE. He debuted as the host of LiveWire. Eventually, after years of having many entertaining moments as an interviewer, he got the position of lead announcer for the upstart SmackDown show in its inception in 1999. In 2008, Cole was drafted to Raw and became the new lead voice for Monday night's brand. He now works on Monday nights, as well as Tuesday nights, as the lead announcer for WWE NXT alongside Josh Matthews.
