Darren Young
WWE Pro: CM Punk
From: Miami, Florida
Wt: 240 lbs
NXT Record: 7-3

Darren Young could be described as a party boy. However, his mentor, CM Punk was not one to agree with that type of lifestyle. As Young's mentor, Punk wanted like to show Young the advantages of the Straight Edge lifestyle, believing it could make Darren Young better than the other NXT Rookies. Young, however, wanted none of it in the end. Instead, he wanted to find success at his own merit. He placed last in the first Pro's Poll, and immediately pushed himself to improve, including a victory over then-#1 Rookie Daniel Bryan and WWE Superstar Luke Gallows. Keeping on course, Young seemed to be slowly earning the respect of his mentor. But at the end of the day, Young just wasn't ready to take on the WWE on his own, and ended up being eliminated.
