The sentimental favorite among the WWE Universe was the "internet darling" Daniel Bryan. Shockingly enough, he went from being ranked first to actually being eliminated early on. Season One saw many more eliminations, wittling the competition down to Wade Barrett and David Otunga. Season One's conclusion saw Barrett win the competition. With that, he received a spot on the Raw Roster and a future championship opportunity. Little did anybody know what would happen following this accolade.
| 8 | 8 | Thu Apr 08, 2010 5:12 am The Chairman | | Season 2 saw a new set of eight young hopefuls looking to be the "Next Breakout Superstar", as well as a new rule: The WWE Universe now shared 50% of voting power with the WWE Pros! First things first, the Pros needed to ensure that we wouldn't see the same events occur with the Season Two Rookies that happened with the Season One Rookies. After a slightly shorter season, it came down to Alex Riley, Michael McGullicutty, and Kaval. Kaval ended up winning the NXT Season Two competition, much to the delight of the self-proclaimed "Co-Women's Champions" LayCool.
