Superstars Results for 4/29/2010
In the first Superstars show after the Draft, we saw some SmackDown and Raw encounters. One was a final friendly encounter, while the other was fierce competition. We also saw a potential number one contender emerge.
Gail Kim def. Jillian
This Raw Divas contest on Superstars was potentially an important one, as the winner could be a future contender to Eve's Divas Title. At times, it seemed like Jillian was capitalizing at the right moments to win the match. All it took was one mistake for the tone-deaf Diva to... Eat Defeat, and Gail Kim picked up the victory.
Zack Ryder (w/Rosa Mendes) def. Primo
It will be interesting to see the future of the relationship of Zack Ryder and Rosa Mendes, who was drafted to SmackDown in the 2010 Supplemental Draft. But they paired together, possibly for the last time. In this match pitting Primo's high-flying ability against the unique style of the Long Island Loudmouth. With Ryder getting very little offense at first, it seemed Primo was bound to win. Ryder, however, took advantage of a mistake and gounded Primo with some unique offense. He would go on to continue the attack on Primo in what would turn into a back and forth contest to win the match after a distraction by Rosa Mendes and a Zack Attack
Unified WWE Tag Team Champions The Hart Dynasty def. The Dudebusters
In their first match since winning the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship, Raw's newest aquisitions, The Hart Dynasty took on SmackDown's Dudebusters: Trent Barreta and Caylen Croft. Things went well for The Dudebusters until Barreta made the mistake of picking up the pace against Tyson Kidd, and Kidd took advantage. The tag was then made to the larger DH Smith, who began to overpower The Dudebusters. Baretta and Croft then used their tag team skills to distract the ref and take advantage in the match. Despite the efforts of the tag team specialists, Barreta and Croft would fall to The Hart Dynasty after The Hart Attack.
